We designed and built this transport module to match NASA's transport needs within 4 weeks. The module weighed 2500 lbs and was initially too large for the orbiter when we received it. To fix the problem we modified the existing module by installing a sunken floor and mounting an anti-vibration support ring to it. Made from aluminum, the module was outfitted with a fiberglass roof equipped with side lifting lugs so as to not get hung up on the C5A transport plane. |
